Celestina Cruz was born in the Philippines, but her family moved to Mexico while she was still an infant. Her younger sister Valeria was born less than a year after the family returned to Mexico. The Cruz sisters grew up on tough streets, were inseparable, and learned to compensate for each other’s weaknesses and complement each other's strengths from a young age. Where Valeria developed raw power, Celestina pursued precision. Together they travelled to the United States in their late teens. Celestina immersed herself in the Southern California wrestling scene, absorbing its unique blend of lucha libre influence and American independent wrestling. The result is a versatile hybrid style — part technician, part daredevil — that keeps opponents guessing.
