We don't have time to recap Heidi Christenson's entire history. No, seriously, we don't. She started in the wrestling business in 1998, but we'll start from 2017, which is when she jumped from Professional Wrestling to the world of Mixed Martial Arts.  And we'll fast forward through that (tl;dr, 9-0, 7 submissions 5 in the first round, 1 ko) to her 2024 bout against Astrid Reichert, expected to be a formality before she signed with the UFC.

Instead, Astrid Reichert humiliated her and submitted her with a guillotine choke early in the second round.

Shockingly to anyone who didn't watch her pro wrestling career, and completely unsurprising to anyone who did, Heidi kicked Astrid in the back of the head with her famous Lethal Roundhouse during the hand raising. In pro wrestling this would've just sold more PPV buys for the next quarter, but the world of serious combat sports has serious consequences for bad behavior. The fallout saw Heidi banned from combat sports via a committee - and the ban encompased all combat sports, including professional wrestling.

With the ban in place, Heidi disappeared from public view largely until in late 2025, it was announced that Eric Dane, Sr. had signed her as the head trainer of The Foundry, ICW's dojo/developmental project.

Heidi has continued to keep a low profile, but by all accounts, she's taking the job very seriously and doing it quite well. While this isn't exactly suprising, knowing Heidi, it won't last forever.
