Todderick Davenport III
Todderick Davenport III is the fourth-generation heir to the Davenport Shipping fortune, raised in an environment of wealth, expectation, and constant proximity to power. While the Davenport name has long carried influence in business circles, TD3 has spent his adult life determined to prove that legacy alone is not enough — and that systems, not sentiment, decide who rises.
A multi-sport athlete in his youth, TD3 ultimately focused on football in high school. He was competent, disciplined, and physically prepared, but as competition levels increased, it became clear that his future in the sport was limited by projection rather than performance. By his senior year, the path forward had quietly closed.
His grandfather, Todderick Davenport Sr., believing TD3 needed grounding through real labor, attempted to place him on one of the family’s barges. The effort failed, blocked by TD3’s father, Todderick Davenport Jr., who instead encouraged his son to pursue education and opportunity through institutional channels. The rift between expectation and protection has never fully healed.
TD3 attended Auburn University at Montgomery, studying business and finance. While there, he competed in sport wrestling — solid and technically capable, but without the edge required to justify a long-term career. A candid conversation with his coach ultimately redirected him toward professional wrestling: a discipline that rewarded preparation, positioning, and control as much as raw athletic output.
TD3 embraced the pivot immediately.
Professional Wrestling Career
Entering the wrestling world with an analytical mindset, TD3 approached the industry as both competitor and operator. He trained steadily through college, developing a methodical style built around leverage, composure, and minimizing risk. Over time, he cultivated a reputation as a cerebral opportunist — technically sound, rarely reckless, and always aware of context.
At AUM, TD3 became an informal mentor to Jacoby Jacobs and Darian Darrington, younger athletes drawn to wrestling with fewer resources and less direction. TD3 introduced them to training environments, professional expectations, and the realities of the business, positioning himself as a leader long before stepping onto larger stages.
He rejected pursuits like mixed martial arts outright, viewing them as high-risk, low-return paths that punished participants without offering meaningful long-term upside. Wrestling, by contrast, represented a system where intelligence, structure, and influence could be leveraged to protect longevity and control outcomes.
ICW
TD3 entered Iron City Wrestling as a calculated investment — a promotion ambitious enough to matter, but still malleable enough to reward positioning. With strong backing behind the scenes and an understanding of how wrestling ecosystems function, he quickly established himself as a central figure.
His rise has been polarizing.
To supporters, TD3 is a disciplined strategist who understands that success is rarely accidental.
To critics, he is a symbol of privilege weaponized — a man who benefits from patience and protection others are never afforded.
TD3 rejects both labels.
In his view, ICW is not about fairness. It is about leverage, preparation, and command — and he believes he has mastered all three.
