Athletic Commission guts the Star Forge roster!

Posted on August 29, 2025

Birmingham, AL — The Alabama State Athletic Commission has enacted stricter medical and licensing protocols for all professional wrestling competitors in the state. As part of a compliance review of newer promotions, the Commission conducted a full audit of Iron City Wrestling’s developmental system, the Star Forge.

Following the audit, the Commission denied or revoked licenses for ten athletes on medical, documentation, or safety grounds. The affected competitors are ineligible to compete in the State of Alabama.

Men’s Division — Licenses Denied/Revoked

  • Owen Mason — Failed baseline concussion testing.
  • Eli Dresden — Undisclosed spinal condition discovered on MRI.
  • Maleko — Style deemed “unsafe for opponents.”
  • “Golden” Gary Grant — Cardiac irregularities flagged during stress testing.
  • Obsidian — Failure to provide verifiable identity and medical documentation.

Women’s Division — Licenses Denied/Revoked

  • Vivica Volaré — Pre-existing cervical spine condition.
  • Roxy Vega — Improper licensing tied to prior combat sports record.
  • Isla Ripcord — High-risk aerial profile ruled non-compliant with safety standards.
  • Kintsugi Kayo — Banned substances detected in bloodwork.
  • Vesper Knox — Failed psychiatric evaluation required for licensure.

Eric Dane, ICW Founder: “This came down from the state, not from us. The Commission made its rulings, and we have no choice but to comply. The Forge will continue forward with the talent who remain cleared to compete.”

Active Star Forge Roster (Post-Review)

Men: Lowlife Larry Edwards, Marcus King, Preston Price, Levi Rex, Hoss Harlan

Women: Sunny Holliday, Peyton Grey, Valeria Cruz, Tahlia Monroe, Tigress Wilde

With these rulings, ICW confirms the Star Forge Grand Prix tournament is cancelled. Future events will be restructured around the remaining roster.
