Eric Dane Sr. Shifts Focus to Leadership Role in ICW

Posted on September 16, 2025

BIRMINGHAM, AL – Iron City Wrestling owner and operator Eric Dane Sr. has announced that he will step back from his role as a full-time commentator in order to dedicate himself fully to running the company, overseeing production, and serving as ICW’s on-screen authority figure.

“The truth is, I can’t be in two places at once,” Dane said. “I’ve tried calling the action and running the ship at the same time, and it’s a hell of a juggling act. This place is too important for me to half-ass anything. ICW deserves my full attention behind the scenes, and that’s where I’ll be. When the moment calls for it, you’ll still see me at that desk — but day to day, the reins belong to the broadcast team.”

That team will remain in the hands of play-by-play man Robbie Ray Carter and analyst Angus Skaaland, who will continue to call the action for Iron City Fight Club and beyond.

Dane emphasized that while his headset will be hung up most nights, his presence in ICW will be felt more than ever. “I built this company to last,” he added. “From production to the locker room to what the fans see when those lights go up, it’s my job to make sure ICW keeps pushing forward. And I’ll be right here to make sure that happens.”
