ICW to resume operations effective immediately; organizational update, new sponsorships
Posted on December 25, 2025
Iron City Wrestling has confirmed that it recently concluded a comprehensive internal review following concerns raised by multiple sponsors regarding the tone and intensity of the product.
While ICW’s growth over the past year has been driven by a more visceral, hard-hitting presentation, several sponsors expressed that the promotion had evolved into something markedly more bloody and brutal than what was initially pitched. The cumulative effect of repeated incidents — rather than any single occurrence — ultimately forced the issue.
Of particular concern was the widely discussed Jack Havok–Clovis Black parking lot brawl, in which the action spilled outside the venue and resulted in significant property damage. Havok, a central figure in ICW’s Television division, has been connected to a disproportionate number of high-profile incidents, though ICW officials stress that he is far from alone. Clovis Black, Lowlife Larry Edwards, Duchess Vaughn, and the Cruz Sisters were also cited among talent whose conduct raised red flags with sponsors evaluating their continued involvement.
Following the end-October pay-per-view Heart of Dixie, ICW made the decision to temporarily cease operations while contracts, sponsorship agreements, and internal governance structures were reviewed.
As a result of that process, two significant changes have been implemented.
First, longtime ICW figure Cito Conarri has been appointed Head of Standards and Oversight. Conarri brings decades of experience within the industry and is widely respected for his ability to work directly with wrestlers — particularly those considered volatile or difficult — to prevent situations from escalating. ICW leadership has indicated that Conarri’s expanded role is intended to emphasize early intervention and clearer standards rather than reactive discipline.
Second, ICW has expanded its Board of Directors to include Todderick Davenport Jr., along with two of his trusted associates. Mr. Davenport Jr., the father of ICW Iron Crown Champion Todderick Davenport III, was instrumental in securing the financing that enabled the renovation of The Foundry into a dedicated professional wrestling arena. In his new role, Davenport and his associates will focus on acquiring sponsorship partners whose expectations are better aligned with the product ICW produces, while also serving as a direct conduit between promoters and sponsors regarding brand obligations and presentation.
ICW officials described these developments as a positive step forward, emphasizing stability, clarity, and long-term sustainability. With its review complete and new structures in place, the promotion expressed confidence that it is well-positioned moving forward and reiterated its enthusiasm about returning to the air with renewed focus and momentum.
There is, according to the promotion, little reason for concern — and every reason to look ahead.
