SPOTTED: “Ego Buster” Dan Ryan Seen in Mountain Brook
Legendary powerhouse dines in the hometown of ICW’s most notorious trust fund baby. Coincidence?
This week, the Iron City Wrestling fanbase went into overdrive after a surprise sighting of professional wrestling royalty. Dan Ryan—known the world over as The Ego Buster, and a man who’s held world titles in every company that ever mattered—was spotted having lunch at Brick & Tin, the posh-but-casual hotspot nestled in the heart of Mountain Brook, Alabama.
Yes, that Mountain Brook.
The sighting might seem like an innocuous lunch at first glance. But to long-time wrestling watchers and sharp-eyed Iron City diehards, this could be something much bigger.
Let’s lay it out.
Dan Ryan is more than a decorated champion—he’s a destroyer of egos, a kingmaker, and a longtime ally (and occasional adversary) of ICW founder Eric Dane Sr. The two have formed legendary partnerships, won tag team gold together, and just as often beaten the hell out of one another for personal and professional supremacy. Their relationship spans two decades, three continents, and more blood spilled than a Scorsese film.
And now Ryan’s in Birmingham. Not just anywhere in Birmingham—Mountain Brook.
That’s the platinum-paved stomping ground of none other than Todderick Davenport III, aka TD3, ICW’s most obnoxiously privileged blue-chip prospect. For Ryan to show face in his part of town? Well, either he’s just a fan of $17 artisan sandwiches… or the Ego Buster is looking to get involved.
Is Dan Ryan eyeing a run in ICW? Is he scouting talent for someone else? Offering counsel to an old friend? Preparing for one more war?
No one’s talking.
But one thing is clear: when Dan Ryan shows up, change follows. And in the unpredictable world of Iron City Wrestling, that should have everyone—from the locker room to the luxury suites—paying very, very close attention.
