Jesse “Iron Kid” Collins: “Birmingham Made Me Believe”
Posted on September 15, 2025Fresh off his victory over “Superstar” Sammy Starr at The Iron Way, Jesse “Iron Kid” Collins spoke with Iron City Press in a post-show interview, still riding the energy of his hometown crowd.
Breathing heavy but grinning ear to ear, Collins reflected on what the moment meant to him.
“This isn’t just a win for me—it’s a win for Birmingham,” Collins said, still clutching the tape on his wrists. “The fans here gave me the power, the passion, the belief to make a go at this dream. I’m just a kid from this city who wanted to wrestle, and you all made me believe I belong in this ring.”
Asked what’s next, Collins didn’t hesitate:
“I’ve climbed one mountain tonight, but I’m not stopping here. My next goal is another shot at the Iron Crown Championship. I want to bring that title back where it belongs—right here in Birmingham, for the people who made me who I am.”
The Iron Kid left the interview area to chants still echoing from the arena, a reminder that the city is firmly behind him as he sets his sights on championship gold once again.
