Flip D Headshot

Flip D

Gender: Male Birthday: December 3, 2002 Billed From: San José, California Height: 5'6" Weight: 160 lbs

Flip D (real name Dong-wook Kim) grew up alongside Junichiro Higashikawa in the street culture of San Jose, bonding over skateboarding, bikes, and a shared addiction to adrenaline. The son of Korean immigrants, he adopted the ring name “Flip D” — partly to dodge the American slang tied to his given name, and partly to highlight his knack for aerial daredevilry. A little more compact than his partner, he balances Junichiro’s kick-heavy style with flips and high-risk dives, capped by his signature skytwister press. Always sporting a white durag, Flip D followed Junichiro into the SoCal deathmatch scene, where their recklessness caught the eye of promoter Eric Dane and earned them a spot in ICW as the Urban Ninjaz — cannon fodder with just enough spark to maybe become something more.

  • Duchess Vaughn – “She poleaxed him with a backfist - concussed him, derailed his career by a few months. For her it was just another Monday night. For him, it's a matter of vengeance, whether he'll ever be formidable enough to collect it or not.”

In-Ring Personality
In-Ring Tactics The smaller, flippier half of the Urban Ninjaz, Flip D thrives on dangerous aerials and reckless dives. While he throws plenty of kicks like his partner Junichiro, his game is defined by spectacular flips, rebounds, and death-defying bumps. Like Junichiro, he’s usually fodder for bigger stars — unless the match goes hardcore, where his willingness to weaponize his body becomes a true threat.
Always Do *Throw themselves into insane aerials regardless of the risk.
*Tag in and out quickly with Junichiro.
*Keep the white durag on, even mid-match.
Never Do *Slow, grinding mat wrestling.
*Wrestle cautiously or hold back.
*Drop the “Urban Ninjaz” thrillseeker identity.
